From snorkelling with turtles and swimming with dolphins to taking to the skies in a seaplane or cruising the oceans in search of marine life, there are so many incredible Hawaii tours to do.
Good luck just picking one as we take you on a mini adventure to paradise with our pick of the best Hawaii tours!
Our Pick of the Very Best Hawaii Tours
The islands of Hawaii are one of our all-time favourite places to visit. Some of our best travel memories were made here.
And these experiences simply wouldn’t have been possible for us without heading out on a day tour.
As we’re from the UK, we wouldn’t have felt comfortable with driving on the right hand side and around the islands in a rental car.
Not to mention it would have been very expensive as we would have had to hire a 4×4 in order to get to some of the attractions.
But the Hawaii tours we went on were also a fantastic way to learn more about the islands and the Hawaiian culture. We were even taken to some places that we’d never heard of, so we saw a lot more on these tours than if we’d ventured out on our own.
Let’s get going…

Have you ever had a more incredible start to your day?
Stunning Big Island Tours
The Island of Hawaii, nicknamed The Big Island, is the youngest island but also the largest.
It’s possible to experience nearly all of the world’s different climates here, which has been caused by one of the island’s best features — its mountainous (and free-flowing) volcanoes.
Which you can see on many of these stunning Big Island tours…
Big Island Twilight Volcano Tour
No visit to The Big Island is complete without a visit to the famous Volcano National Park.
During this epic 11-hour twilight tour, you’ll walk through an underground lava tube, visit Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, admire the amazing views of Kilauea Iki, an active volcanic crater, before settling down to dinner, stargazing and the night glow of Hawaii’s most active volcano.
This is easily one of the most epic Hawaii tours on this whole list!
Mauna Kea Stellar Explorer Tour
At 13,000 feet, Mauna Kea is one of the world’s tallest volcanoes. Although no longer active, it’s now home to a world-famous observatory and some of the world’s most powerful telescopes.
And this 7-hour tour promises to take you to Manuka Meadows Coffee Farm and the largest infinity pool in Hawaii for a relaxing start to your adventure.
From there, you’ll continue your tour to around 9,000 feet up Mauna Kea for a night of stargazing and an astronomy lightshow.
This particular tour doesn’t summit Mauna Kea as this offends many local Hawaiian people. But if you do want to summit the mountain in a 4×4, then this alternative sunrise tour offers that instead.
Night Manta Ray Adventure
A visit to The Big Island also means a night of snorkelling with manta rays!
After hopping aboard a sunset cruise along the Kona Coast, you’ll be taken to a popular spot for manta rays to see them in their natural habitat.
During this 2.5-hour experience, you’ll watch manta rays feed and interact with other marine life beneath a neon light raft, resulting in some unforgettable sights and photo opportunities.

Voyagers of the Pacific Luau with Buffet
If you want to learn all about the extraordinary Hawaiian culture then a traditional Luau is one way to do it – and a very fun way to do it.
This 3-hour Luau experience overlooks Kailua Bay and will see you taking hula lessons, learning how to make leis and other traditional crafts, before tucking into a delectable Hawaiian buffet while watching a dramatic fire dance.
